Varicose veins of the legs

It increases the likelihood of blood clots, which, when detached from the wall of a blood vessel can reach the lungs and cause life-threatening embolism. Varicose veins can present in very different forms.
Telangiectasia - the so-called spider veins - are elongated and extended venous plexuses of small diameter. Most often they are subcutaneous and intradermal, found under knees and on the side of the thigh. They are visible through the skin as a blue-red or purple blood vessel fine lines. On the other hand, varicose veins of shins - enlarged, twisted shin veins. They are caused by excessive pressure in the venous system, which leads to the venous valve failure. If you experience swelling of legs, intensified in the evening, or a sensation of heaviness, pain and burning, it means that you need medical advice.
