Radiesse preparation application
Definition: :
Radiesse consists of calcium hydroxyphosphate (hydroxyapatite - CaHA) forming a suspension in sodium carboxymethylocelulose. This preparation does not contain animal components so it does not cause any allergic reaction. Moreover, it is included to fillings resulting in semi-permanent effects, remaining for in between one and five years in the patient's skin. Radiesse is the latest filling introduced in a non-surgical method for face contour modeling. Its effects are instantaneous and long-lasting.
The Radiesse procedure may be applied for modeling the lower jaw line, nose-lip furrows, "marionette" wrinkles (from the nose and lip corner to the chin). Radiesse may also safely and permanently enlarge cheekbones or the chin.
Age : 30 or over
Surgical technique : The procedure may be performed under Emla anesthetic.
Small portions of the preparation are injested to the skin. Usually an optimal effect is achieved after 3 procedures in time intervals no shorter than 4 weeks.
