Breast enlargement with Macrolane preparation

Definition : The breast enlargement with Macrolane preparation is a procedure performed in order to enlarge breasts because of the following reasons:
1. woman's body shape improvement when she feels that her breasts size is too small,
2. loss of breast volume after pregnancy,
3. equalizing breast size when the difference between the size of the breasts is significant,
4. breast reconstruction after oncological treatment
The size and shape of the breasts before the procedure will affect both the treatment method and the result. If the breasts sizes and shapes differ, it is impossible for them to be absolutely symmetrical after the procedure.

Age : 18 or over

Surgical technique: The procedure is performed under local anesthesia or intravenous anesthesia with the participation of an anesthesiologist. The cuts are made so that they are least visible and are located usually under the breast or on its side. Breast enlargement with Macrolane preparation is connected with placing the preparation under the gland or under the breast muscle. The Macrolane preparation may be injected subcutaneously, intramuscularly or to the breast gland. The method and placement of the injection depends on the patient's choice, the construction of the thorax and the surgeon's decision. A patient planning the breast enlargement must take the possibility of another procedure into account. The Macrolane preparation is subject to gradual absorption, the duration of which is 1.5-2 years. After the procedure the patient may resume her usual occupations.
