Arm raising procedure (arm lifting)

Definition : The arm raising (lifting) procedure is a surgical procedure aimed at removing excess skin and fatty tissue from the inner surface of the arms. In is not a procedure for overweight removal. Obese people should undergo this procedure after losing weight when they acquire a constant weight. There are many techniques applied for inner surface arm lifting.

Age : 18 or over

Surgical technique : The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. Depending on the amount of the skin different operating methods may be applied. The cuts are usually made in the armpits or , in case of a large excess skin, on the inner surface of the arms. The patient remains under observation for 24 hours. Wearing a special suit is recommended for 4-6 weeks after the procedure.

Recovery time : 10-14 days
