Hernia surgeries
Hernia may lead to dangerous complications. It heals only when it is treated. If you are one of the 4% hernia sufferers, the right choice of a doctor is of utmost importance. Only a properly performed hernia surgery can make you return to your health. Hernia may manifest in different ways - either as a small protrusion or a disfiguring and painful persistent swelling. In each case, only a visit to a specialist can help you. What can happen if you do not visit the doctor? Lack of quick surgical intervention can lead to necrosis of the intestinal wall with a leakage of intestinal contents and peritonitis, and ultimately even to patient's death. The best doctors, such as our professionals, can effectively manage this disease. A properly performed hernia surgery, and appropriate treatment improve the prospects for a healthy life.
Hernia is an abnormal displacement of organs or their parts outside the cavity in which they are normally located. In the case of the abdominal cavity, it is a displacement of intestinal section outside the muscles forming the abdominal wall. Hernias can be divided into congenital (diagnosed as early as in utero) and acquired. Abdominal hernia develops most often in sites with the so-called reduced resistance, i.e. where the muscles connect with each other or with bone, and where there are located large blood vessels or nerves. Where else can hernia appear? In the inguinal canal (males), the femoral canal (females), umbilicus, the abdominal median line and any post-operative scar on the abdomen. This is because the inguinal canal is naturally extended in men due to the presence of the spermatic cord (vas deferens, nerves, blood vessels and cremaster muscle), and there is more chance of the abdominal cavity contents dislocating there. In females, the femoral hernia is more common, in the canal undergoing extension, which often happens after childbirth.
