TEPEMED Medical Centre, run by TP Med sp. z o.o., has been operating for about 40 years, initially as a company outpatient clinic for telecommunications industry workers.

The Centre operates a clinic in the Warsaw city centre, with 1,800 sq m of space, where it offers comprehensive health care services, including broad prophylaxis, full diagnostics, minor surgical procedures, rehabilitation and dental care. The company employs physicians of over 20 specialties and services some 20,000 patients.

"The transaction is a win-win situation. The acquisition of the TEPEMED Medical Centre is part of LUX MED Group's strategy aimed at developing a network of high-quality clinics that offer a comprehensive portfolio of medical services. At the same time, only some of Telekomunikacja Polska employees working in Warsaw and Katowice could use the medical services offered by TP Group before, while now, owing to an agreement concluded with LUX MED, all TP employees will be covered by health care services and be able to use all the LUX MED Medical Centres and our partner clinics all over Poland," said Anna Rulkiewicz-Kaczyńska, President of the Management Board of LUX MED and LIM Medical Center.

"The transaction is part of TP Group's strategy to focus on our multimedia services offer and the development of innovative convergence services, while leaving the operation of non-core areas such as health care services to companies specialised in such domains," said Jacek Kałłaur, HR Board Member of TP SA.

LUX MED concluded similar health care agreements with PTK Centertel Sp. z o.o. and TP EmiTel Sp. z o.o.
